Default 95 Blazer spare seat cover

It's a bit difficult here in Germany to get parts for my Blazer. The car has an original beige leather interior but as in most of the Blazers with leather I've seen my drivers seat is starting to disintegrate. All the other seats look like new. Just the lower driver seat looks like it's been pulled from the junk yard and I really want to change that. That's where my problem starts.

Chevrolet isn't selling any US market cars in Germany anymore. They stopped doing so back in 2012 I guess. I've allready asked one of the dealers who previously was selling GM cars but they told me they aren't anymore and they can't get such special spare parts anymore. My next stop was a saddler. I asked if he could craft me a new lower seat cover. He tried to find the leather but it seems to be hopeless.

This is why I'm asking here now. Do you know any way to get a beige leather seat cover for the lower part of the drivers seat or at least an address where I could find the original leather and maybe a color code for it?

I doubt that this would be available from GM here in the US either. You would need to find a seat from a junkyard here and it likely will have the same problem.

If you know an upholsterer, they should be able to use the original cover to make a replacement.

The upholsterer would do it but he can't find the right leather. He allready asked all the german leather shops he know but nobody is able to provide that special color. Do you know a place in the USA where i can get it?

I did a whole lot of research on the leather type and found out that GM called the leather "light beige" and the production code for it was 6695.

Now i just need a shop in the USA able to sell me a hide of that special leather. If you know any shops I could ask please tell me.

You could just get all your seats redone with a color that is as close as possible to the color it is now.
It would probably cost as much as finding it from over here.

A leather hide costs between 200 and 300$ + round about 50$ for shipping and 50-100 toll. Redoing the lower seat cover would cost about 100$ for the work. So that means round about 500$ and the interior would be as good as new again.
Redoing the whole interior would cost much more. If I get it really cheap maybe 1000$ but I guess it will be even more.

Oh by the way do these seats in the pictures look like the normal 95-97 Blazer seats to you? I'm asking beause I saw leather seats with crescent shaped headrests not too long ago and the owner said they were out of a 95 Blazer. Otherwise they looked exactly like mine. Were those headrests an option?

I've got interesting news. I've been searching for everything which would be a help for my problem and found the part number of the original seat cover. Unfortunately the part isn't available anymore through GM but I also found other part numbers for light beige seat covers and I'm a bit confused about them.
There are 3 different numbers for the beige leather cover I'm searching for. One is for the 95 Blazer which isn't available, one is for the 96 Blazer, not available, too and the last one is for the 97 model and it seems like there still are a few around.
I'm just wondering why there are 3 different parts, one for each year. As far as I know Chevrolet didn't change the seats from 95 to 97 so what was going on there?

That`s one thing I hate the most about leather/ fake leather. It`s hot during the summer, cold during the winter.Plus they tend to want to crack pre maturely way before it`s time to recover them.

Smile 95 Blazer spare seat cover

TH0m4s,

Try going to GM Parts Giant - Lowest Price for Genuine GM Parts, once there enter the required vehicle information ( Year, Make, Model, and/or your VIN number).
Then go to # 16 -Truck Cab, Body Parts), to either # 16 - Front seat/Bucket, Driver, or # 17 - Front Seat/Bucket, Passenger. Click on either # 16 0r # 17,
the window will change showing #16 or # 17 selected parts, then click the mouse arrow on the desired part, then it will show the stock part number, item name, price, and if available or not. Hopes this will help you a little better!
