well i have seen that the 2 dr. blazers have a foam back part that goes from the top of the suv to the middel and the 4 dr. has plastic. what does that mean?

Um... yeah... Not quite following? Never have seen any visible (or otherwise) foam on the exterior of a 2nd gen 2dr...

i know. but its after it sits out for a long time. it must dry rot. i have seen it only on 2dr. never 4dr.

i am going to guess he is talking about the trim on the back along the rear window.
mine is all faded like and ugly as well. i think there is a thread talking about how to clean it back up somewhere around here.

Ok... The 2drs have a rubber-like plastic trim around the window as shown in some of Cliro's pics. This trim does like to dull over time if not properly taken care of. The 4dr have a hard plastic peice that is either part of the lift gate assembly or just bolted in if the truck is equiped with a tailgate down window up type rear hatch. This hard plastic is painted which protects its finish.

I have the same problem as well. The finish has degraded so much that it looks like sponge in a couple of spots. If anyone has an idea how to fix this, please let us know.

sand and repaint, only thing i can think of.
