Big Decision.....Choppin A Hole...
Alright my friend has a ragtop in his xB and i absolutely love this..... I'm debating doing this! Now i have to basically give up stereo..... so thats a big con for this.
I've been doing MAD research on this. Surprisingly there hasnt been any leaks from where I've seen this stuff done. Hey Jon, I was thinking about this too. I talked to a few people who have/had them and they told me it was nice in the summer but cold as hell in the winter and when it rained sometimes it leaked. don't forget Jon you have a lot of money in your system so this would make it so much more convenient for someone to take you stuff

the question is....can you really give up ur spl??? also think about security? how easy would it be to break into that?

Security would be the big mod on this one of course
As for SPL really i could give it up like nothing. cause there will stil be pressure and it will still be loud in the vehicle. Just there will be a HUGE air leak ya know? big pressure escape spot |

So yea. This mod will take my mind off a certain girl i cant have hahahahahaha. I dont mind freezing. I do it anyway lol. my number 4 on my heater doesnt work it stops at 3 :D |

why not do the full lexan/or glass roof still looks sweet and its more secure and spl can still be a breeze

ya its an air saw you cna get one at homedepot around 100 bucks maybe less........if you have a tool truck ridin around your town which im sure you do stop by when you see him at a shop and order one might be a little cheaper
btw good luck with the dad aspect lol mine had a Sh!t fit when i cut the fire wall out of my nissan to fit a 305 in it |

i personally wouldnt recommend doing this. do you have any body work expierence?? as soon as you cut those roof supports you lose all structure, and run the chance of having your doors, tailgate not close right. not to mention as soon as you cut it, it could possible flex, or even flex while your driving and put creases in rear quarters if not properly braced before you cut it, and welded in roof supports after you cut it. and plus you always run the chance of this

Guy I know has this mod and also has huge system in it. Roof cracked where side rails are mounded from sound system.
Most mods have pros and cons. Just have to weigh what is more important, function or style. I try to balance both.:D |

i'm a frim believer in doing things yourself, but i think this is wayyyyy outta the question. this is your roof were talking about here, lol. have it done professionally that way if they do screw it up, you can make them fix it :D
