Black grille opinions.
#1
I've been thinking lately about getting a black grille to replace my faded OE grill. I want opinions on it first.... I'm not sure exactly how it would look without my chrome bar in the front. I'll probably get a billet bowtie emblem if I go that route and I'll be putting my billet inserts in the new grille. Below is the grille I'm looking at:

I kinda fell in love with this grille after Dory posted the "woooooohooooo back in business!!" thread last April I think... She had pictures of her black grille with a billet tie.

I think it would look awsome with just a billet bowtie.

its kinda hard to tell from that pic but is it flat-black or glossy black? if its flat black, i think it would look too much like one of the contractor-style trucks... the ones that come with the black plastic bumper and grill.
if its glossy black, i think it would look pretty nice
i sent you a PM too...

Id actually paint it to match your truck.

I'm torn between keeping the chrome and just painting the grille shellor ditching the chrome altogether.

Youre all into painting everything now, why not just paint the stock one?

well honestly because one of the tab clips are completely broked off. Not the clip itself, but the part of the grille the clip is on.

Does it still hold in place? I would ditch the chrome and paint it. imo
