So i need to replace the body mount bushings on my 99 4 door blazer. I got all the bushings and hardware in a kit from lmc which is all good. The problem i am having is the 2 front mounts on the body not the core support mounts the sheet metal box shaped part where the mount bolt threads into is rotted away i cant find anywhere that sells replacements does anyone know where to get these new or am i better off searching the junk yard any other ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Better off going to a scrap yard and search, or maybe even see if a local metal shop can make something for you.

 

Thanks DonL thats kinda what i was thinking. That leads me to my next question if going with the junk yard option would the mounts be the same on all blazers, s10s, jimmys, etc. or are they more specific. Would normally just take a picture of mine and compare at the junkyard but mine are too far gone to get a reference.

 

rockauto had them for the square body. As it is a weld-in job it may work using the ones from the 1st gen. A good body shop should be able to fabricate one if you cannot find them. I'll have to replace mine as well but that is a 1st gen.
