can anyone recomend a good place to get a good brushguard?

I had one and hit something with it on. It got bent up and mangled. I ended up ditching it. They are more for appearance than function. Do you go through the bush often?

I agree that MOST are for appearance than for function, but true 4-wheelers will tell you that if they are built properly, they do their job. The problem with stuff these days is that people build these big *** trucks that LOOK good, but would lay down and cry if they actually ever had to do any serious offroading with their pretty trucks, for fear of getting a scratch or something. Case in point, my gf's mallcrawler Jeep she bought. All the chrome on that thing was just gross. The bumpers might look pretty, but she has since replaced them with functional ones that will actually mount a winch and tow hooks. It might actually be ready for some mudding this summer.

If you're interested in looking good, go with one you can buy in stores or online. It won't matter if it isn't functional since you won't be running into any trees or rocks on trails. If you are wanting to offroad, I suggest custom if you know anyone else that can build it for you.
