youd have to fill the holes with bondo or something to keep it from rusting
but as far as mounting it on the under carriage
if its 2dr, i doubt you could do that, but inside your hatch you could make a custom mounting plate

You have two options:

You can mount in on the rear of the vehicle, where it is now. If its because visability and you simply can't see, I suggest you buy this: http://www.sblazer.com/index.html
I did, helped alot.

or

Mount it in the trunk. I'd go see a junkyard and see if you can find the inside mount some 2dr blazers have.

Hope it helps!

Its $70, its a few bolts, take the spare tire off, put the plate on, put the spare tire on the plate, tighten the bolts, put your cover back on. Thats it, took me about a half hour.

If you decide to mount it inside, my brother, blazin97, says he will trade you the inside mount and plastics for the swingarm and inside plastics.

You won't be able to mount a 31' tire inside with stock hardware. This is why all ZR2s came with the swing arm mount.

You have three options. One is the lowering plate as already mentioned. Two is move the tire to the roof rack. Three is strap it down behind your rear seats.

My suggestion is to go with the lowering plate.
