just picked up a FREE!!! uniden cb radio and i was just wondering where you guys or gals mounted yours.

i have a '95 blazer i mounted mine right below the stereo, to the left of the cigarette outlet plug....it looks nice and is out of the way of things.

how big is the radio u got? also...where are u thinking of mounting ur antenna???

im thinkin bout a 4'firestick and put it on the passenger side rear bumper and its bout 6 inches wide and maybe 10 inches long

I havnt gotten a new one yet for the 4x4 BUT, I ran a k40 in my 86 v8 safari van, I mounted it under the heater controls, just drilled the bracket to accomidate the factory holes.


What antenna are you using/going to use? K40 makes very nice 'glass ones and steel whips.(used to work in their warehouse 10 years ago, im sure their technology got ALOT better.

i was looking at the k40 4' fiberglass or the firestick 4'fiberglass one

i mounted mine to the side of the center console where the cup holder is and mounted my whip antenna to the spare tire rack works great

im so jealous, i had one a long time ago and got rid of it, now you got me wanting one again, especially a free one!

Where would the 'best' spot to mount one be? I thought I read somewhere you want to have the cb antenna as far from the FM antenna as possible..but in the rear of the truck where is a good spot? Wouldn't a mount off the bumper interfer with tailgate movement?

I have a magnet mount antenna that stuck on my roof right above my rear window.
