1. i have a 1992 4dr s10 blazer and i was thinking of putting a new blazer's center console in it due to the factory cup holders in 92 sucking ****. will i need to drill holes or anything to put it in? does it screw right in the matting under the carpet?

2. i want to put a ceiling console in it as well, again do i have to drill holes or does it just screw into the headliner backing?

3. has anyone ever had to switch out the climate controls on a first gen? if so, how did you do it? i can get most of everything off of it but i cant get it far enough out to remove the vacuum lines and its pissing me off.. my dash hates me right now after i abused it...

 

1. The center console on my '98 has 3 bolts that are welded to the tranny housing. Center console has brackets which go over the bolts and then nuts to fasten.

2. The ceiling isn't much more than cardboard. My assumption is you would need some type of backing that would hold the fasteners for your console securely. Just a guess, someone else may have done it by just screwing it in.

3. Can't help much with this one.

 

a flashlight and cut hands, to get the vac lines off, start at one side and start pushing it to the front of the truck on the hvac control.
getting them back on is even more fun.
