defroster vent removal

Default defroster vent removal

im guessing this is where i post this lol. im curious on whats the best methods/techniques i should use to remove it without cracking it, i bought a new one and it didnt match the color and doesnt fit right, so i have to return it without breaking it '

any suggestions of the "correct" way to remove it?

I used a panel remover placed as close to the clips as possible and gently pried up on the piece until it pops out, repeat at every clip. I've done this three times now without breaking anything.

+1 What he said. Having the vehicle warm will help a ton to keep the plastic from breaking while you're doing this. I'd recommend against attempting this outside in cold weather unless you heat up the vehicle first.

Yea I'll probably have to let the defroster on for 10-15 mins and try a panel removal...great suggestions thanks guys!!

and once you remove it... where can a new one be purchased? Every Blazer I've ever seen, is busted!

check on ebay, there selling them for 20-30 free shipping. my one advice, make sure it says its OEM. the aftermarket one, in my experience, was more expensive and didnt fit properly

if you dont have beige like me youll have no problem finding one. cause all i found was black and grey when i was searching
