Door Variations?

Door Variations?
Hello all.
Upon installing the last door needed on my truck (Driver's door) it appears like the door may be different from the last one. Due to high amounts of rust, I went out and acquired two different doors. The passenger fitted fine, however, when I placed the driver's door, it didnt fit right. I have noticed the door must have came off a manual window package being that there was no wire hole. I assumed there would be no difference, so I used a hole saw and cut the hole. The only thing i can think of is that the door must have came off a two door.
So the question is:
Is there a difference between a 2 door and a 4 door when it comes to door size?
Note: Passenger's door came off an 89 s10 blazer, and the seller of the driver's door had no idea what truck/type it came off of.
Thanks!
