Default Driver's Seat Too High!

Howdy guys and gals,

I have a '97 Blazer LS with power seats. I am 6'2" and even with the seat lowered all the way my head is still bent over and touching the headliner. How would you fix the problem (other than offering to cut off my head, that is!).

Thanks!

Bob

Not sure what to suggest beyond adjusting the angle of the seat pan and seat back... There's lots of guys on here that are tall (I'm 6'3") that have made it work. The manual seats in my brother's S10 do sit lower than the power seats in my Blazer, but I personally woudn't be willing to downgrade like that.

Does your blazer have a sunroof? That lowers the headliner a bit and could be related to your problem. Or maybe you're a big hair type...

6'5" here and I don't have a problem

Also, my seats can raise up and down so make sure yours down all the way. I drove a friends 4runner the other day and she didn't know that the seat could be raised and lowered until I moved it lol

Thanks for the input, guys. I do have the sunroof and I can see that without it I'd probably have enough room.

I angle the seat back to accomodate the height but I guess I prefer to sit more vertically.

Maybe I'll just get it into a garage and pull it out. Maybe I'll get lucky and figure something out.

Anybody here from Calgary?
