I have some cancer that I want to try to fix before it gets any worse but one of the places it is starting it along the back of the roof where the rear glass hinges are it seems like a very common place for the first gens to start rusting as I have seen many of them around my area with the same problem. I was thinking about trying to section out the roof and welding a new piece in. I was wondering would the roof off of a 4dr work?

 

I did one many years ago and fabbed the piece to repair it - I would think the 4 dr would be the same as the rear window is the same. Maybe make a template of the profile and take to the donor vehicle.
