I have always wanted a 1980 K5 Blazer red and white with red and white houndstooth interior. I managed to fine one just like I wanted but it is ate up with rust including lots of rust on the roof and door wells. It is going to cost a considerable amount of money to get it repaired properly. I have a 1987 GMC Jimmy full size that has a lot less rust and runs and drives. Has anyone ever put a older front clip on a newer K5? I would like to just put a 1980 front clip on the 87 switch the interior and paint it red and white so I still get the look I want but not going to cost me $30k plus to do it. Looking to get some pointers.
