Default front valence

I have an 01 and was wondering what it would look like without the front valence on it. so i was hoping some people could post pics with out it, but i need to see the ones with the same valence cause i know there were a few different ones.
Heres a picture of what i have:

it looks much better IMHO.

your bumer is chrome, so it will look good with just the black impact strip...

here is mine, sans valance

sorry they are so F-ing huge though

Have you had any problems with your blazer over heating at all after removing your front valence?

Typically has the opposite effect... cooling is more efficient

no problems

in addition to valance i also took off the plastic under grille scoopy thing and built my own skid plate to box everything up. made it all summer with narry a spike in temp.

It's bolted to the bottom of the bumper. I suppose you could reach in there with a wrench and remove it, but I found it easier to remove the whole bumper, then the valance.

I wanted to take mine off too but its there for cooling and where you have your license plate there's a hole there and acts as a scoop to funnel air up to the radiator so i didn't. I would love to take if off for clearance but its not worth it

How are your MPG's without the valence? Because im pretty sure they are there for aero dynamic reasons aswell.

no change. was at 14 mpgs, took off bumper cover, rad air scoop, and skid palte, added my own skid plate and still getting 14 mpgs. no change in cooling, mpgs, or aerodynamics (as far as felt issues) goes.

as for clearance, with my current set up i was easily busting through snock up to the impact strip on the bumper.

do it if you want. dont if you dont like it.

at worst, try it and see what you think, just know that it will show your oil filter adapter since the skid plate is too short and bumper sits too high (looking) with no valance
