I have a 1996 Blazer and it has really bad / small front lights. What do i need to change if i want to put on 97 or newer lights ?

What years did the lights in the front change ?

1998 they changed. you looking to change it to my front end right? I'm pretty sure they make a kit for it but you'll need the headlights, bumper lights, grill, bumper and new radiator mounts. I'm not 100% sure if the actual light bulb sizes are different or not. in the end you are probably looking at spending at least $200 depending on if you get the parts new or used.

The Composite lights were an option on the 4 door since 1995. You have the sealed beam lights.
The front end like mine(shown in sig) came out in 1998.

You'll need to change:
obvious stuff
-grille
-headlights
-signal lights
-bumper
-valence (plastic part under bumper)
-all the fasteners

not so obvious stuff
-rad core support
-bumper brackets (IIRC)

You have to be careful because your Core support can either be bolted on (like my 05) or be welded in, which then becomes a real PITA

I suggest you look here:

I've seen this in a few threads on this topic now. What is the split between Blazers that have a welded in and bolted in support? Was it split by model years? Assembly plant?

No clue... I found that in my research and no year span was found... it could be "plant" dependent too...
