So i hate the chrome grill so i sanded it a little bit to get a rough surface, Here are some pictures

Sanded....

First coat....

Nice you did primer it first right? I learned this the hard way from doing my grill.

Sand, primer, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, clear coat. sand, clear coat

let dry for 24 hours and install .. other wise it will chip and look horrible in a while.

I've learned this too. I painted my chrome strip across themiddle of the grille, the chrome part of the bumper, and the stone guards on my lights black and didn't clear coat them enough and now the look like cookies and creme ice cream. Gunna try again, this time taking my time.

That grille looks like it will be nasty on your blaze, I think it'll look awesome with a billet bowtie.

ok cool just had to check the first time i painted my grill on my 97 actually i did the quick and easy one coat and it lasted about a month before i had big chunks of chrome showing through It was only after i talked to a buddy about it he told me the method and i've never had a problem since lol

I also painted the chrome strip on my grille. Still looks good.

had the same ugly chrome grille on my 94 but i did it the lazy way found a perfect black one at one of the local junkyards for $10
