Home made bumper
I wanted a bumper that could protect the nose, be light weight, and not stick out a mile, yet be able to put a hidden winch behind. This is it.
I started with 3" square tube, and then built a military style brush guard on top. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0071.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...toyboat004.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2.../bumper009.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0110.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0107.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0106.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0126.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0125.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0124.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0129.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...D/SSPX0127.jpg And yes it was hot!:icon_doh: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2.../bumper012.jpg |
wow thats nice i dont think its legal in ny tho
i like when it didnt have the top piece to it but it still looks good |
I dunno it looks odd. I think it's because it's all square and angular and whatnot on a curvy Blazer. Craftsmanship looks good, and it certainly appears functional, but something just doesn't look "right" about it to me.
I'll say good job on it though, since it seems you build exactly what you wanted. |
Looks nice. Everyones a critic I know. I would recommend that the two center supports line up with the two grill supports on each side of the bowtie (Geometry for looks). Looks great, a good coat of paint and I'm sure it'll blend to the styling of the blazer.
|
Finally done. Now I just need to remove it, clean it, and get it over to the powdercoater.

Looks nice, especially finished. Put some foglights on there and I think the front end would look real nice =)
