Default RE: which hood?

I've only done a little bit of research but here's what I know.

Steel:
Pros- 99% of the time it's a direct bolt-on. Superior quality. Longetivy. Won't crack or tear. Can use stock hardware.

Cons- Cost. Weight. Higher shipping due to weight.

Links I have found for steel hoods:
4" cowl lift off - http://www.eharwood.com/catalog/prod...?productID=386
2.5" cowl bolt-on - http://www.eharwood.com/catalog/prod...?productID=426
4" cowl bolt-on - http://www.eharwood.com/catalog/prod...?productID=427

Fiberglass:
Pros - Lightweight. Price-significantly cheaper than steel in most cases. Wider variety of shapes IMO. (I've really only seen cowl hoods in steel). More availabilty IMO (ebay and such).

Cons - Usually not a direct bolt-on and require some shaping/sanding/filling. Easier to crack/tear than steel. Have to buy different hood latch and springs for some since stock springs are too strong. Fiberglass flexes more than steel. I guess this is for both but it seems you have to be sure of the seller a little more frequently with fiberglass than you do with steel.

Links I have found for fiberglass hoods:
http://www.extremecomposites.com/chevy.html (I'm also fiddling with the idea of their Corvette tailgate but it just seems too crowded)
http://www.teamxenon.com/mm5/merchan...de=CHEVY_TRK_6
http://up22.com/S10.htm#GM804

I can't tell if this is steel or fiberglass but the price would suggest that it's 'glass:

Hope this helps!
(Can ya tell I want a hood too? I'm most likely gonna go with the 4" steel cowl bolt-on when the cash comes in)

Get ahold of Goodmark Industries....1-piece steel...is the only way to go IMO.

I like this one: http://www.truckn-store.com/productI...HOO-CV8293.JPG
or those SS Camaro style fiberglass hoods. I think I'm gonna go with the SS for my truck.

Definitely go steel. Fiberglass tends to crack where steel would just bend.

I'm partial to this hood:

Isn't that the SS Camaro style? Is that steel or fiberglass? I have only seen them in fiberglass.

That looks like the one, but I guess the one I was looking at was different. It was called an SS style and it was fiberglass. I like the fact that this one is steel though, so I may be going with it instead....
