hey this a really good write up i will definately be doing this to my projectors. i have gotten used to the line but i wouldlike to get rid of it. i wass hoping new bulbs might help it some but i see the problem now

I just noticed at wal-mart the other day that silvania makes silverstar H1 bulbs. I will put those in when I get some projectors. Not as bright as HID, but a heck of alot brighter than halogen.

i tried to make a helpful post on hids, please ad your pics tips and info, this may help you learn and get to know if you really want hids alot better
o appernetly projectors werent desigend for hids, i thoughts all they were for, casue i only saw hids in projectors usually
on the projector box(well some of them) it says NOT FOR USE WITH H.I.D.

it has a few things about them, alot of common questions i saw surronding them, just ask if your unsure

You just have to change the projectorcone with a vented cone. You can contact the manufacturer or I'm sure you could modify it.

hey brent how long did that take you to do. im thinking of doing it friday night but dont want a big project because i have somewhere to be at like midnight

well i pulled my headlight out and was going to do this today but found that mine are not lade the same as yours, mine are all one piece and there is not way ro get that lil plate out. i tried taking it out through the whole for the bulb but it wont fit so i guess i will just forget about that idea

You took off the projector itself, or did you just take out the bulb?

i took out the bulb and attepted to take the projector apart but mine does not look like this. the headlight assembly is all one piece.

yea you got the same ones i have. i had one hell of a time getting that little plate out. and the projector is a hb3/9005. i might have to get some raybrigs cuz the knock off whitish bulbs just don't do.
