Adding Led lights to my car using a switch. Put it on one door waiting for the rest to come in

and installed leds in my vents
just need to mount the panel

i want to put it were my tape deck is but there is to much space on the sides. and one know where i can find a piece of fiberglass and cut it down or any ideas what i would made it cover up with?

 

Be careful driving down the street with those on, I know here in Michigan you can't have stuff like that, only the emergency vehicles can have lights like that. I don't know what the laws are like in New Jersey, but you might want to check into it.

 

Blue lights inside the vehicle is a problem? Strange

 

Depends on the area but generally blue lights are illegal while moving on anything but an emergency responder. Here its a cop only color. Firefighters are allowed red or white, hazmat are allowed red, white, and green. Also if you have them on while moving you better be on call and responding.

In the last month cops have finally started enforcing the law better. Pulling the ricers over for neons on and even busting people for blue headlights. I've heard of a number of people wrote up for illegal hid retrofits and blue bulbs in hids. Glad to finally see the pigs doing their jobs and not sleeping on the side of the road.

 

Well it's on the inside of my car you really can't see it when the door is closed. It just lights up the floors.

 

Maybe it's changed since I last looked, I think CO includes "forward facing" and "while in motion"
But I'm going to keep my red and blue interior lights off if a lawman is around

for my switch panel i took the tape deck off of its lil thing that slides and locks it into the tape deck area. then i cut a sheet of aluminum the exact width of the tape deck. bent it 90 degrees, painted it, and then drilled a few holes and riveted it all together. now you cant tell that there was ever a tape deck in there.

 

I think the vent led would drive me insane. do kinda like that door jam tho!

yea it does get annoying i think im going to point the towards the inside so it lights yp the back
