Default light bar?

I'm probably going to add a front end grille guard/safari bar/light bar to my '04 Blazer sometime this winter. What are some good places to buy them? Price is definitely an issue as I have no intention of spending hundreds of dollars. Used is fine. I've looked on eBay and Craigslist with no luck at all. I'm actually leaning towards one of the pre runner style bars but can't really find those used anywhere either.

TIA

Keep looking on those sites..you're bound to find something eventually. You can try truck parts stores too, but chances are they'd be fairly expensive. When you say "hundreds of dollars" what type of price range are you thinking? They run the in 100-200$ range and well up from there. I've seen some for well over $700.

Heres one for $150

here's another for $124

if i looked up the right ones, you spent damn near that much on your fog lights already ($90-ish fr Pilots) correct?

just keep googling you @$$ off, and dont be afraid to troll craigslist once every 2 hours or so dont pay more than $75 for a used one though. unless it's PRISTINE.

If I had my choice, I'd opt for one of the bumper mount (as opposed to frame mount) pre runner style light bars. I don't plan on off roading. I just want something that looks good that will hold at least 2 lights. I can't think of how to describe it other than it's a bent tube that goes across/on top of the bumper with a hoop of sorts that mounts to the top of that.

Mr. Policeman---I bought the fog lights off of a friend (brand new) for less than $50.

Damn! huge Score for you then!
The bar you are talking about is a Bull bar (A.K.A Push bar or take down bar)
Like this correct?
if yes then click this $179 BEFORE s&h

If you have a buddy that can weld and fabricate you could have one for MUCH less though

Mr. Policeman--No. The one that's my first choice just mounts to the bumper and is much smaller diameter tubing. The Bull Bar is my very close second choice. The only real problems with Bull Bars are that they require an additional (and relatively costly) mounting kit and once I add a body lift to my Blazer, I'll have to have new mounts fabbed up. (Not a huge deal as that's what I did with my '96 Jimmy but it's a PITA to get done and one more expense.) If I can't figure out what I want, I may go with a Bull Bar. Thanks.

I finally found the type of light bar I'm looking for.

Now if I can just find one much cheaper.

@Sportydrew: you drill 4 lil' holes in the top of your existing bumper and hang that bad boy from it. it was a Tacoma option and a few other trucks have them available now too...

here is a bull bar for under $100 and its SSG, not Mr.

also this one is a JEEP universal, but since you are drilling your bumper anyway, you could easily modify this one AND with BL, it changes nothing fit wise.
