RE: looking for a grill guard/brush guard

was it just a bull bar, or was it a full guard like mine?

RE: looking for a grill guard/brush guard

just the center part, no headlight guards

its like those but not like those. the guard comes up to just below the hood and it had a piece of shiney metal, prob aluminum. on either side about 3-6 inches and a rolled piece of aluminum on the top then a piece of black metal or plastic on the middle about 3-6 inches thick with metal 3 inch fog lights on it.

Well it might have been custom. The only ones Ive seen are either the full guard like mine, a center push bar (my guard without the head light protection), or the simple bull bars like this: http://www.accessconnect.com/images/bullbar.jpg

The only other thing ive seen out there production wise is a pre runner bar.

Could it have been the grille gaurd off of a Diamond Edition Jimmy?

Ooo good thinking Matt.

That would be rare in CT though...Werent diamond editions only offered in canada?

I've never heard that before but I suppose it's possible. I've seen one or two way down here in TX.

Diamonds were offered everywhere. Good luck finding any parts for one. They are pretty rare and high priced parts.

if you can find the part number, maybe. and even then, if its in production/stored somewhere.

I don't know man I think the robocop bumper is wack, Im by no means dissin, I just think wolfpacks is way sexyer! IMO the diamond looks kinda clunky, but maybe on a diffrent style paint/trim truck it would look better. Just a pointless interjection I suppose, lol.

P.S. I just wanted to call it a "Robocop Bumper", hehe!

The Diamond guard would look good on the Brazillian blazers :D

On their Ebay Store, Truck Gear Direct (formerly Hunter Truck Gear??) has Nerf Bars listed for 01-07 Trailblazer, but notBlazer...Does anyone know of these will fit my '02 4-Door Blazer?

WolfPack 02-13-2009 07:10 PM

RE: looking for a grill guard/brush guard

www.huntertruckwholesale.com is now called Truck Gear Direct...so yea it looks like they changed names. But I would not think those nerf bars will fit on yours, as your blazer stopped in '05, not '07.

You should send otnietdehoooo a message, hes got some awesome nerf bars hes trying to sell.

whats the difference between a 97 and a 98? they say for 98 up how hard will it be to fab up some mounts on a 97?

im new to the 4x4 crowd use to low riders

RE: looking for a grill guard/brush guard

question what is the difference between the 97 and 98? they only list it for sale for the 98+
My 02 is in the body shop so i cant compare them but before i buy one i want to know how much of a hassle it will be to install this on my 97 truck

swartlkk 02-23-2009 02:56 PM

RE: looking for a grill guard/brush guard

They changed the grill/bumper/etc design in 98. Not sure if that had any frame mounting changes, but with the bumper designs changing, clearances would have also changed. You would need to have them both side by side to see the exact differences or have some kind soul(s) take some pictures for you.

packofqtips 02-23-2009 03:00 PM

RE: looking for a grill guard/brush guard

i know all that and i know that with a radiator core swap you can change the grill to 98+ but as far as i know the bumper mounts the same

if all i have to do is cut or trim my bumper then i would do it

wish i had both trucks outside to compare
