My Blazer got wrecked... pics!

So I loaned my beloved Blazer out over the holidays and this is what I got back...:icon_doh:
The body shop says it will take a new quarter panel and about $2400. I put it into the body shop today... hope to get it back late next week.

Send the bill to the person that wrecked it. Thats what i would do.

AJBert 01-25-2010 06:31 PM

Are you sure that wouldn't just buff out? lol

I, too, am wondering what would have caused that without smashing the tail light into tiny, itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny shards.

bandidolenny 01-25-2010 07:14 PM

The guilty party slid sideways into a parked vehicle while driving in a ice storm on Christmas eve. :icon_santawaving: (Merry Christmas to me!)
I was gonna just color match and paint the dent but... my Blazer deserves better than that! lol

Spectreblazer 01-25-2010 07:40 PM

dang that sucks bro

cbr995 01-25-2010 07:53 PM

Ouch! That looks like it hurt.

zedartwo 01-25-2010 10:27 PM

Most insurance co.'s would just total it and give you a short change for a '98 model vehicle.

slid sideways???.............i think there's more to the story that they're not telling you.

regarding that, what about the other guys damage? who's covering it? (not your insurance i hope) your friend is gonna have empty pockets for a long time.

papacope 01-25-2010 11:13 PM

$2400 would be considered totaled on my Jimmy. She was almost totaled when I got rear ended, that was only $1300ish. Sorry to hear about this, love your Blazer. I hope she gets fixed up well.

ABN31B 01-26-2010 10:32 AM

F the sympathy. you Need REVENEGE!!!!!!!!111one

But seriously, glad it came out to minor (damage and injury but not cost wise) and that you are still (off)road worthy!

Before it's fixed you should slide her sideways through your buddy's living room.... :icon_evil:

toaks1 01-26-2010 11:26 AM

u could always just do the redneck special and try fixing it with some bondo and rattle can primer

papacope 01-26-2010 09:42 PM

That'd be a lot of Bondo.

old skool luvr 01-26-2010 10:02 PM

papacope 01-26-2010 10:03 PM

If you were doing it the true hillbilly way, you would just drinks some Budweiser, cut the cans up, and then JB Weld them on. Don't paint the cans, leave them as is. =]

I'm sure the taillight was smashed, just put in a new one so he can drive it around without not having a taillight. That does suck though, I do like the budwieser can idea :)

Probably drinking some Bud :icon_couch: you should have given me a holler, I would have helped you out. Hell, I would have made a whole Blazer out of cans for you, I probably wouldn't remember it though.

bandidolenny 01-28-2010 12:20 PM

Yea, ok guys... the guilty party was my girlfriend. Here she is...

ok.ok. i get it! I didnt wreck it on purpose........damn it, take it easy.........:icon_deadhorse:

She also said that we had to get it fixed because she was reminded of it everytime she looked at the dent. The body shop should have it done next week!

dimone545 01-28-2010 12:52 PM

Thats why no one and I mean no one drives my vehicles......LOL Hope you got something good out of the guilty party....wink wink....LOL

ABN31B 01-28-2010 01:28 PM

^^ LOL ^^

damn she needs to talk to my wife. after she back into my door all I got was:
Why were you parked behind me on the other side of the street? (emphasis added)

another funny thing you protected her identity for a while :icon_teeth: nicely played

oktain 01-28-2010 02:15 PM

Yeah... don't do what Old Skool Luvr did and slide it sideways through the guilty party's living room... because if she lives with you, it's your living room.

i don't know if i should be flattered............or a little more cautious on my recommendations for retribution? :icon_emm:

and that's why you should never ASSume anything Pat. hazzard a guess, but never assume. :)

Spectreblazer 01-29-2010 10:18 PM

you know what happens when you assume,

old skool luvr 01-29-2010 11:27 PM

^^^ that's what my machine shop teacher in HS always used to tell us, "never assume, it only makes an ass outta you and me.)

wise man he was. is.

ABN31B 01-30-2010 12:59 AM

Pat lost me when he put all the letters all over the place, so, i'm just going to make the assumption that old skool luvr said something about his ring...

Eraston 02-10-2010 11:35 PM
