Default My Blazer got wrecked... pics!

So I loaned my beloved Blazer out over the holidays and this is what I got back...
The body shop says it will take a new quarter panel and about $2400. I put it into the body shop today... hope to get it back late next week.

Are you sure that wouldn't just buff out? lol

I, too, am wondering what would have caused that without smashing the tail light into tiny, itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny shards.

The guilty party slid sideways into a parked vehicle while driving in a ice storm on Christmas eve. (Merry Christmas to me!)
I was gonna just color match and paint the dent but... my Blazer deserves better than that! lol

Most insurance co.'s would just total it and give you a short change for a '98 model vehicle.

slid sideways???.............i think there's more to the story that they're not telling you.

regarding that, what about the other guys damage? who's covering it? (not your insurance i hope) your friend is gonna have empty pockets for a long time.
