need quick answer- nut size for outside door handles

Default need quick answer- nut size for outside door handles

I need to get a new door handle for the Jimmy (outside) I am going to the yard tomorrow to get a new one, and I need to make sure that I have the right size socket for the job, I would be furious if I get there and do not have the size that I need.

does anyone know the size of the nuts that hold the outside door handle onto the door?

Just a guess but I'd say somewhere around 10mm?? That's the worst part of wandering a yard is making sure you have the right tools. I have a toolbag that has a shoulder strap so I can carry everything (hopefully) that I will need. The da** thing gets heavy though!

I suppose I could just make sure i bring a 8-9-10-11-12-13-14.. well you get the point. LOL

7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21-22-23-24-25-26-27 lmao

so i found out orielly sells the handles new, 20 bucks... and its only 1.5 miles away.
so i can spend 20 bucks and get it, not have to pull it, or i can drive an hour, to the yard, pull it, while its raining and cold, and then bring it home and put it in..
I mean, I love the yard, and love pulling things, but not when its raining, especially since the yard charges 12 dollars for a door handle..... WHAT!

i was gonna say...they are new for 20 lol. and yea,its a 10mm.

got the new handle, but something is slightly confusing me, the posts on the back of the new handle are not threaded?

arent they like those thin "self tapping" nuts like what holds the speakers in under the dash covers?

Yup, those little piece of shoots, it was 11mm btw :P
