Default Opinion on paint

I got tired of looking at the horribly sun damaged plastics next to the back window. so Ive sanded them down and used filler. Im just wondering if I should paint them black or silver? if i did silver i would have to paint the entire strip that goes around the window. opinions?

the dumb subscription email thing didnt work. i didnt know i had some replies.

I think the black looks good as it is, but I decided to go with the silver. Just to be different and the window wont look like it merges with the plastic. It sucks on pre-98's that you cant just replace that piece. you have to remove the window unlike the 98-03 you can buy just that triangular piece.
