Default painting side panels question

Hey guys. I have a 1999 Blazer LT 4dr 4WD. Its is black but has tan colored panels along the bottoms of the sides. Can these be removed to be painted? What would you guys recommend on doing to get them to match the factory black of the rest of the truck? Thanks in advance.

Default RE: painting side panels question

The or adhesive on to the side, so i do not recommend remvoing just to paint. Mask off the truck, and paint them on it. All you need to do it get the paint code off the truck door if you painting the same color, and got pick up the paint. Sand over the panels lightly to rough them up so the hold paint, and paint away. Then clear coat them. Auto zone sell paint in cans for like $6 or so, and all they need is the paint code for your truck. I used it, and highly recommend it to a first timer as you don't need to mess with a paint gun.

Good luck.
