quarter panel rot 2001 2dr
hey everyone i have a 2001 2dr ls blazer that is starting to get some serious rust between the door and rear tires. the rust seems to be comming from the inside out. ive grinded down the rust and blasted what i could from the cavity between the exterior panel and interior panel. i used a rust sealing rustoleum primer and then an undercoating spray then used expanding foam then a coat of bondo finally i used bed liner paint on the exterior. now the paint is bubbling again less than a year later. has anyone else run into this? maybe replace the rear quarter window gasket/ i see a million other 2drs without this rust and i clean my blazer quite often i know no matter what it will need a new panel but id like it to last a bit longer so i can fix a few other things b4 i shell out the money for cutting and welding a new panel

mine is doing the same thing on both sides. I did find a replacement panel that is just from the body line down instead of the whole quarter panel.

yea with how bad the passenger side was when i tried sanding off the rust and doing the body work i knew sometime i was gona hafta do new panels. I swear im gona get 300k outa this truck and id like the body to be as dependable as the rest of the truck has been. Ive found new panels for 60 to 100 bucks. just didnt kno if anyone may have found the source of the prob. it seems to b rusting from the inside out. maybe the quarter panel glass needs new gaskets
