Default Relocating Airbag Sensor

Has anyone done this? Will it cause any problems to move it to another location?

The sensor I reffer to is the little silver box that lives a cozy life tucked under the carpet below the center console. I know that in order to work around airbag wires or screw with something near by, it is best to disconnect the battery or yank the fuse.

I am re routing all of the wire and the rear window washer tubing from the center line of the drivers side, to below the molding near the doors. The wires that cut across the center line of the passenger compartment are being re routed under the dash and up the door molding.

Sadly that leaves the airbag sensor. I have 3 options: Leave it be, Stash it under the driver's seat, or EXTEND the wires and move it somewhere out of the way...

I would really prefer the last option, but it do not want to set off my SRS or render it INOP. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
