Sweet, did you take off the LS badges that I see in the second picture. I was going to do that to mine this summer but I didnt have the time or proper tools to do it.
The only tools you needare a hair dryer and some wax. That's what I usedto peel off all my emblems, including the LSes. With the help of a friend, it only took about half an hour.

So are the LS emblems held on with the same stuff as the door emblems?? I'm gonna take mine off but I wanted to make sure when I peeled it off paint wasnt gonna come with it.

It's just straight up glue. Apply heat, and it peels right off. Then buff the spot with wax to clean off the residue. Mine looks like "LS" was never there at all.

Yep, what Psychropod said.

I knew what tools I needed, but i never got the time and don't have a heat gun. Then it got real cold and I don't want to do it in the cold.

I just used my wife's blow dryer. When I walked out the door with it, she looked at me like I was totally loco, but it worked fine. (Though she did admit after the fact that the truck looked better.) LOL

Probably not. Mine's five years older than yours, so it could well be that GM got wise and decided to make it harder for people like us to remove their free commercials. In fact, my wife's "Jimmy" emblem is integrated into the body moldings, so it can't be removed at all.
