Removed my trim...
Hey guys! I finally heeded the advice of speedy and took the trim off.
I still don't know if this is the right thing to do but I'll let you guys decide whether you like it or not.

RE: Removed my trim...
It looks ok, but it's really looking like one of those stripped out fleet blazers now man.....no roof rack..no moldings 2WD.....you paid for the upscale model, but you're making it a stripper....just my opinion..

RE: Removed my trim...
Gotta agree with lastcoupe here. I put 10 g's into custom paint so permanent removal of that stuff was necessary for style and paint reasons, but I never took it off before that for the very reasons lastcoupe stated.

I like it. But I wouldn't stop there. If you're going to go smooth, you've got to do it all-doorhandles, rear wiper, LS badge, gas door, etc. etc. But I can definitely appreciate the effort you put in...
...at car shows I've found that the best looking vehicles were the ones that had a consistent theme throughout. If you're going for the blacked-out JDM look, then stick with it.

RE: Removed my trim...
I forgot to mention, Im going back with some custom decals and pinstripes. The decals are gonna have BLAZER in the same font as the trim had. Its gonna be black with a modernor conventionalstripe spanning the length of both doors and I may take it up halfway the rear fender and taper it offwith a bowtie symbol... thats my vision anyway. I'm going to a vinyl decal shop soon to get it cut.
Or if I have the money I will go back with a full black pinstripe and then afull vinyl in black and light gold.
I'll keep you posted.

I don't know man.....I guess I would have to see it photoshopped to really know what your trying to accomplish. It sounds kinda ricey, and I think you should just save the money you will spend there for a nice custom paint job.

I don't know, I just feel like its a waste of money to repaint a car with a pristine paint job.
I'm not going ricey... I read the description I gave and I thought Iimplied the wrong impression. Itsdefinately gonna look good. It will fully compliment the body style of the Blazer.
I will take a picture of my Blazer to the graphic shops and they will photoshop about 30 designs for me to pick from. (Thedecal shops around here will photoshop up to 10 images for free) If you want, I will post everyone of the photoshop prints here if you want to see them. It should take them about2-3 weeks to photoshop the designs, but I'm a patient man.
The decals are not going on for about6 weeksso than I can assure proper planning on the matter. I'm definately not going to be rushing this because thing look like crap when you rush.
Schools out for the summer next Wednesday and I'll be in full flow working onJen.

RE: Removed my trim...
I may think about racing stripes like the Xtreme package too

Depending on what color you are going to use for the stripe, that would be a good idea.
