Repainted grill
Ok so i was reading through Foxxie's thread about repainting his head light bezels so i figured it was a good idea then 02xtreme had a good idea also to paint the chrome peice that goes across the grill. So i had a bit of time on my hand (i was borad outta my skull) and not all my parts for the truck are here so i did it.
I will post pics tomorrow of it mounted after it dries.
Im also gonna smoke the tail lights and paint the emblems Flat black tomorrow. Was thinking about doing the mirrors body color also but not sure if i wanna.

Looks kool, you did clear it right? it looks kinda dull ( not shiny) - the paint you used was it dupli color #T0410 ? Indigo Blue ! you have the same gold bowtie mine has/had I`m putting a piece of Diamond plate in its place as a bowtie...not sure if you saw the pics of my truck yet with the taillights and turn signal lenses I painted ..if decide to do that i can do a set for you..

Its cleared i dunno why it looks so dull. And ya i used the indiglo blue from dupli color (expensive). And the Bow tie is actully Flat black now you are the second person that said it looks gold lol. Oh and how do you like that Volant intake? i was think about getting that before i got my AEM brute force.

did you scuff the chrome down first with a scuff pad? and use self etching primer b4 painting? ya may have to redo it, the paint may not stick properly to the chrome surface!! it might start peeling, unless ya prepped the surface correctly first.try putting a heavier coat of clear on it but dont get too close or it will run . The intake i have i`m happy with I got it thru ebay but it got lost in shipping, so i got it directly from volant as a replacement. I paid $300.00 for it..yes thats exp but worth it and i didnt have to worry about inventing a heat shield for it.. www.volant.com i believe was the website..good luck with everything..

I actually took the chrome strip off the grille before painting mine.
I don't know what colour black my truck is but I found a gloss "Midnight Black" "touch up" spray & it looks absolutely stock.
I guess too that black is an easier colour to work with. I gave it about 4 clear coats.
Oh, and I also painted the headlamp surround on my lights. Black, not green! LOL

You really need to post a pic of it on your truck. I'm going to do the same thing, and I wanna know how it'll look.
