Default running boards and flares to just flares

ok so i have those fender flares w/ the running boards on my 94. i have gotten new front fenders and dont want the running boards anymore. i was wondering if i would be able to cut off the running boards and just use the flares. i like the flares and they are the same color as my truck that is why i would like to keep them. just wondering if it would look ok and any other ideas on this mod.

You'll probably get better answers if you post some pics so folks can see exactly what your truck has on it.

no dude it looks like one piece and to cut them i doubt it would look very good pluse the flares are why the fenders rust they trap water thats why almost every 93-94 blazer has rusted fenders. i took my flares off when i replaced my fenders and left them off, i think it looks better plus you can fit 31x10.50s if you wanted to..

ya thats true. i havent really found any flares that r similar to these as this is the look i'm kinda goin for. i'm kinda short on money since i'm payin for college so there wont be any 31s anytimes soon lol plus i just got these tires like a yr ago and they r still pretty good.

well thats cool you dont have to put 31s on yet but the no flare look is alot cleaner, hell i even ripped my front valance off to look more rugged and meanand it appers to sit up higher too and you can see the skid plate
