When you lift a blazer a big suggestion is to run a wider tire and a different offset rim to give you a wider stance to take some of the tipsyness out of the blazer!! If yours was a 2wd I would tell you to lower it and that gives you no tipsyness and better handling!!
But since you are thinking about lifting yours I would stick with the 2inch for now and get a different offset rim with a wider tire to correct any tipsyness the lift will add!!!

P.S. that kit would be awesome to put on your blaze it covers everything for a good lift!!

 

yeah i was plannin on gettin a 30 in. tire thinkin 15/8 should do for the rim.

 

Just watch your offset for pushing the wheels out, I don't know what offset that would work better for you but someone will chime in with the right offset to push your wheels out for a wider stance and less body roll!!

 

The GMT360 platform has mounts formed into the body under the truck and are quite strong. The ones on my Bravada used body mounts, not into the side of the frame. They were quite strong as well. It all depends on the design. Factory designed running boards are quite strong. Aftermarket ones, well, it all depends.

And no, on the s-series trucks, it doesn't really impact the ground clearance at all.

You will need some sort of lift for those, I suggest doing that suspension lift with a 2inch body lift and then you can decide to go either 30's,31's or 33's <--- with minor trimming with a 2inch body lift and suspension lift!!

 

Wait a sec..I thought 30x9.5s fit fine on stock 4x4s.

I only had to trim a tiny bit for 30x10.5s due to my smaller-than-stock backspacing. drperry is running 30x9.5s with no lift isn't he?
