too late for not using the foam, already bondo and primed, and waiting for paint and clear, the wheel well side is already ruberized, as i am finishing those coats today.

Im confused, putting foam inside (to sound proof), and then bondo and prime, paint, clear isnt the best option? given that welding isnt an option. should i have left it hollow (no foam)?

you removed all the rust 100%? if so, it might last longer than a couple years. Either way, its not the bondo that is the problem. some of the foam likes to hold moisture, and if you missed any rust at all, and did not put any type of pre-coat down like por-15 the rust will continue to spread.

but either way, I am thinking of going the same route for some spots on the jimmy. just because of a time issue.

Please do, I got a rotted section a little smaller than my fist in the wheel well area only visible when you open the drivers side rear door..
I pulled out as much of the damp gm foam that I could reach & vacuumed out any of the other crap in there..
filed down the edges to good metal and think I'm now ready to begin..

Thanks very much erock, looks perfectly functional which at this point is all I need my blazer to be.. I used to wash and detail the crap out of it but no more, starting to think all that water might be the cause of my rot spot.. I'll try to post a pic of what I'm dealing with but I'm not very good at this...
