Seat belt locks me in
I'm an old school guy and I am just starting to use my seat belts, I would like to know if there is any adjustment on the mechanism to make the belt lock a little less touchy??? I hate to be tied down and when i realize that the belt has me tied, I cuss and unsnap, but I'm finally convinced that they DO save a lot of lives........
I can understand the lock up in the mountains, but they shouldn't lock up just cruisin.....should they???

They shouldn't lock up that easy. Even in the mountains they shouldn't unless you're really hanging corners. You may want to look into a replacement, being that it's a safety concern. I have never heard of a retractable seatbelt having any adjustment in the locking mechanism

Chevyriders is right as for adjustment.
It can happen if you put them into the blazers on the wrong side (i.e. a L on the passenger side) or if they have been replaced with an incorrect type (different vehicle). The angle with witch they bolt to the pillar is essential.
As for saving lives and saving you from injury, I can tell!
7 accidents, over 30 years of driving, which were hard enough to warrant the seatbelts. Two our fault. At least 4 times walked away with nothing but a bruise instead of major lacerations.
