Default Seat and dash conversion

Will the seats and dash out of a 2000 fit or work in a 97?

the rear seats are a direct swap. The front seats are close to a direct swap. In the 97, you will have your front seats held in with 4 15mm bolts and a separate mount for the seat belt receiver that uses a torx bolt to secure it to the floor. The 2000 has the front seat belt receivers built into the seat assembly. When they did this, they eliminated the one 15mm bolt to hold the seat to the floor and instead used the torx bolt location that used to be for the seat belt receiver. This bolt can be a nightmare to remove at times. Anyway, the seat from the 2000 should swap over for you into the '97 just fine after you remove the original seats and seatbelt receivers from the '97.

As for the dash... that's a lot more work. From what I've learned so far, there were some changes to the wiring harness just about every year that would make the dash swap not a plug-and-play swap. The '00 guages may not operate off of the '97 computer too. If you aren't up for spending lots of time researching and doing electrical work, the dash swap isn't for you.
