Default spare tire carrier please help

i took the spare tire carrier off a 99 and older blazer, how do I install it on a 98 4 door blazer?

There is an entire thread just for this. Read the whole post, and figure out which way you want to do it. I don't think two people did it all the same way...

was thinking about cutting a access hole in the quarter so I can fab a steel plate and use body glue to strengthen it so the quarter doesn't buckle up or kink up too.

Exactly what I did. There should be a bunch of pics in the tire carrier thread.
