grab someone and stuff em in the trunk after you remove the tailgate cover. have em loosen the 10mm bolts and shove the latch as close as they can to the window. tighten..
Even this, they still squeak a lil sometimes. I always wrapped some electrical tape on the square latch. lasts a week or 2.

glue and screw, a lot of the noise is just the plastic molding and trim rattling and scratching each other. glue and screw anything you can together. I found the main squeek for me was the tire swing gate, there is a rubber bump stop that loves to squeel and squeek over every bump. you can adjust the length of the bump stop or just take the whole gate off

WTF im PO i adjusted the latch now the rear handle wont release window or even move any of the mechanism that i can see, actuator works then the handle will release tailgate. what is the cable in the tailgate for if the rods release the gate ? [B][U]what attaches the handle to mechanism to release the glass

The handle isnt attached to anything besides the gate, it has a little **** on it, and when you turn it, it hooks onto or pushes the rod for the glass and gate.. here is what the handle/lock looks like on the inside.
If it wont move then, you adjusted the latch too much.
It just takes a small adjustment to get the glass to close tighter. I had this problem on my 94 with the sqeaking glass, and replacing the glass hinges and a small adjustment on the gate latch fixed it.
The previous owner did the same thing on my current 93, and its quiet as can be.
