you try spraying the bejus out of it with lithium spray and tightening everything that you can.

Mine used to sqeak as well. All I did was take some electrical tape and wrap it around the bar that the tire carrier latches to. The sound went away and I am happy, because I didn't have to do anything crazy.

I will be taking mine off asap. I don't like the look andits all that I see in the rear view. Weld up the holes, blow in paint/clear and carry a can of fix-a-flat. Its going to look much better.
