Here is a pic of my center console, dont know what this little front piece is though, PO had taped black colored cardboard on it to make it not look trashy i guess

it looks like a place where a disk changer was ...thats my guess

Thats what i assumed, but i always see blazers with the little tray on the center console instead of it... guess my truck was "special" at one point in its life

That looks like the spot where cassette tapes go for people with that in their system.

Yeah it's where the stock tape player sat.

Mine has a factory tape deck there, if only I had the factory CD player head unit so I could actually use it...

Factory cassette player was there, someone must have removed it at some point.

So, I have the cassette player in mine and I was wondering how to remove it. Do you have to remove the whole console or is there a trick to getting it out?

Nvm, after I posted that I decided to take the whole console out only to discover that there is two clips on each side you have to squeeze to pull it out. If anyone is tryin to take theirs out I can provide a photo of the clips if needed. I'm not sure I could explain it to be understandable ha.

I used that space to put my cb radio once I yanked the useless tape player out. Some blazers didn't have the tape player and is just a place to put stuff.
