Zr2 flares

I trimmed that i think....let me look at the how to again to refresh.
Ok....i think i trimmed the fender. Its been awhile since i did it.
Flare trim seemed easier. Go over the how to i did....its in there to give ya an idea.
Now having looked at where you marked your flare trimming the flare wont work at all.
it should line up better then that.
i will post up some pics later tonight when i get home.

i had to slightly shave the bottom lip of the flare (with utility knife) to contour the body lines...i also trimmed the fender to match the curve of the flare....you could leave the fender alone. i think the flare would hide the fender lip at the wheel well. i remember trying to decide to trim or not on the fender.

thats the portion i shaved with the utility knife to match the fender.
i then trimmed the fender to match the point where the flare and fender make contact.
shaving the flare to match the fender profile made the two parts align better...i then trimmed the portion of the fender that sits below the line where the flare and fender meet to clean up the look.
in the pics i posted that is where you are having the overlap issue. on a zr2 fender there is an additional lip in the wheel well opening to fit the flare...our fenders dont have that so the flare will be meeting up with the fender, thats why you have to shave the flare to make it flush with the fender surface...then trim (from fender) what is exposed below that line.

read thru that again...the pics are there for what i did.
