I've done some digging and can't seem to find any resource of anyone doing the same but to put it simply, can I bolt a 2.8L to a GM NV3500? Reason being, I am putting together a parts list for a 4WD LS swap and I've decided on the NV3500 and building my NV231 Transfer Case but I like to build things one step at a time, which begs the question, Could I install the transmission in question and keep the factory 2.8? The trans and transfer case in my car has been dormant for quite some time and will need to be addressed regardless so if at all possible I'd like to go that route and then my only concern is dropping the engine in once I've prepared and LS and engine harness.
