Default 95 v8 swap

Alright Ive done some research on doing a v8 swap for a 95 and heard that using a v8 from the same year is fine. But what about something earlier? Would a 350 tbi engine work without having to rewire everything? Or is the 95 engine with the same kind of injector the best? An along with that question, since the 4.3 only has one injector plug I assume I will have to split it off to two, but wont that effect the amount of electricity going to each injector so it wont get enough power to work both injectors simultaneously?

usually when you put a new engine in from a older vehicle you use all the wiring and computer from that engine. i did a v8 swap in a 95 years ago but just used a carb'ed engine was so much easier.
