Want more power, what to do?
So I'm at kind of a plateau right now with power. My K10 has a goodwrench crate motor with longtube headers (dont know what), custom dual side pipes with hi-flow cats, edelbrock hi-rise intake with a holley 680cfm offroad carb. What's left? I want some more power! Help me out a lil bit and give me some mods that aren't going to be 2grand each.

If you havent messed with them and you pick up a set of 4.10's or 4.56's you would pick up some power.

I actually don't know what gears I have. I put in a newer dana 44 in the front which clearly has different gears in it because it lurches like nuts in 4x4 now so I dont use it. He said it has 4:10s. I'd like to know what gears I had in it before so how can I ID what's in the old axle?
And what cam do you guys think would be good on street, dirt and mud? And I already have an eledbrock performer intake.

I knew I had to regear, I had to use it anyways once or twice to help me get out of mud pits but otherwise, it hasnt been used. And it is my daily driver, so is 4.10 lower than what I probably have? I have a feeling it has stock gear ratios. Also wanted to maybe look into a posi rear end, any suggestions on where to find the stuff?

IIRC 3.73 should be stock in that.
In your glove box, look for the "Service Parts Identification" label with all the RPO codes on it.
Code "GT4" is for 3.73, "GT5" is 4.10. IIRC "GT8" was also sometimes used for 4.10...
There is more than one code for 3.43 though... dont remember what they are...
It could also be as high as 3.08, which would really suck with 35s...
