Default Want more power, what to do?

So I'm at kind of a plateau right now with power. My K10 has a goodwrench crate motor with longtube headers (dont know what), custom dual side pipes with hi-flow cats, edelbrock hi-rise intake with a holley 680cfm offroad carb. What's left? I want some more power! Help me out a lil bit and give me some mods that aren't going to be 2grand each.

I see you have 35's so what are you running for gears?

If you havent messed with them and you pick up a set of 4.10's or 4.56's you would pick up some power.

yep,if you have yet to regear for those tires do so! some 4.56's would help a ton with the feeling of power.

put in a mild cam,and edelbrock performance intake, then tune the jets in the carb.

I actually don't know what gears I have. I put in a newer dana 44 in the front which clearly has different gears in it because it lurches like nuts in 4x4 now so I dont use it. He said it has 4:10s. I'd like to know what gears I had in it before so how can I ID what's in the old axle?
And what cam do you guys think would be good on street, dirt and mud? And I already have an eledbrock performer intake.

In your glove box you can look at the rpo codes, or take your vin to a dealership and have them look it up. Otherwiese you can pull off the diff cover and it will have the ratio stamped in the ring. Also for your set up I would go with 4.10 if its driven daily, but if its a saturday night crusier/fun in the mud avery now and again I would go with 4.56

well now you MUST regear both to be the same,or say goodbye 4x4. regear to 4.56.

I knew I had to regear, I had to use it anyways once or twice to help me get out of mud pits but otherwise, it hasnt been used. And it is my daily driver, so is 4.10 lower than what I probably have? I have a feeling it has stock gear ratios. Also wanted to maybe look into a posi rear end, any suggestions on where to find the stuff?

IIRC 3.73 should be stock in that.

In your glove box, look for the "Service Parts Identification" label with all the RPO codes on it.

Code "GT4" is for 3.73, "GT5" is 4.10. IIRC "GT8" was also sometimes used for 4.10...
There is more than one code for 3.43 though... dont remember what they are...

It could also be as high as 3.08, which would really suck with 35s...

id put 4:56 in it, posi rear end, k & n filter, remove the cats, and a msd ignition box. they are "cheap"....a 6a would work. ul tell a difference with just the msd and gears alone.
