K, I don't want too low of gearing because I actually enjoy the highway in this thing and it's already at like 2500-3000 rpms at 65, where can I find a posi, will I even notice the difference with a K&N? Can't remove the cats because of emissions and it already sounds fine and got plenty of performance out of the current exhaust system, and I already have an hei from what I've been told, what will this msd box do?

u may see sum gas milage with the k & n but i dont know, sorry bout emissions, and a msd box helps ur spark plugs put out a hotter stronger spark resulting in more fuel burning in the chamber, cleaner burning and a lil more throttle responce. overall performance with a msd. and noticable. but as for ur gears....4:11 would work for ur tires and freeway driving.

 

Alright, I may give it a try then, any downsides to the K&N's? And the cats are nice high flow magnaflows so I don't mind. I dont run mufflers and this system gave me plenty of power anyways. How much are the msd's and where's the best place to get em? And do you mean 4:10's? cuz I have 4:10 in my new front axle but probably 3:73 in the back.

 

its a 350 just slap some heads on it best power mod for a small block my father in law would just slap some 305 heads on get some pretty good power

msd boxes run around $200. and u can get them from any auto parts store or ebay. and if u have 4:10s in the front and 3:73 in the rear id match them to 4:10s. and k&ns just get better air flow and they r washable, no need to replace them. just buy a recharging/cleaning kit and ur set. or i agree with xgiovannix12, drop a diesel in it and ul have all the power u want and then sum.....lol

 

Alright cool, I'll go look into that. And ya I know how to take care of a K&N, I use em on all my quads haha. And do you guys know where I could find a posi with 4:10 gears then? i wanna do a posi in the back at least. My buddy's droppin a 24 valve cummins in a step side chevy but I sure as **** don't have the tools or time to do that in my truck haha!

 

Get a better set of heads and decent cam. Will definitely wake it up.
