youll be fine. You might waste some $$ as your engine will run perfectly fine on 87...but..its been discussed on here in pretty good depth. Try searching a few forums for premium fuel..Im sure you can find a few of the threads!

Yep, the only time that it would result in better power/mileage is if you have some detonation causing hot spots in the combustion chambers that is causing the PCM to cut back on the timing advance when using 87 octane. Otherwise, it will just be more $$$ spent.

Youd have to have a custom preformance shop around you that has experience with GM pcms. Or someone with licenses on HP tuners or something like that..

When I run 89 octane on the highway I get about one more mpg. Then again, maybe I am just imagining that. No, you will notnotice any power increase. Just for grins try running a tank of 93 and see if you notice a difference.

lol i was just askin cause theres a gastation here that 89 ist the cheapest the gastatin is called road ranger lol
