Figure out what tires you want to go with first, then worry about cuts.

Max you can do with no lift is 31s with minor trimming.

Makes a big difference with wheel offset too.

i cut my fenders back to the firewall. didnt cut it entirely off and slid the piece back into the fender, used rivets and was able to use the top 2 inner fender bolt holes. on the bottom used BFH and rivets. I have 33x12.5x15 on Z28 wheels. I rub the frame at almost full lock.

I used this guys method just cut a larger piece Skidz Cut-out Flares

Going to bump this topic up, I just got some new 31 Toyos and they rub pretty hard on tight turns especially when the body is bouncing back and forth.
I trimmed the flare pretty far up but now the metal fender is rubbing and I am worried about shredding my tires. How far back can I go in cutting the fender?

Not sure about your Z, but I can go as far as 3" back about one third to mid way up in my fenders. 4" on the bottom. Already taken off 2", with a 3" body lift and still need to take off more. Loosen up your inner fender well and you'll be able to see where your firewall begins.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I remember taking one off when I did the heater core, Ill pull it and see. I only need about 1.5-2 inches I think.
Crossing my fingers.
