Oh I know how everyone talks in AZ, remember I have relatives there...
I don't think a 3.4 would be practical in a work truck, especially when its only in use when I'm on it... good thought though!

Thats alright I was born southern then converted to Wisconsin and Yooper, since I go to school in the UP. And what the hell RCars2? Its Soda in WI and pop elsewhere, I keep having the same fight with all my MI friends. Yeah you can hear my accent when I get pissed I sound more yooper and if I say Wisconsin. Thanks for the laugh EuroGold.

Anyway, you should have seen the truck when it was trying to compensate for a bad O2 sensor.
I always thought the little truck was powered by four hamsters on wheels...

That was slower than my old carbed 2.8L S10.... Wow... Didn't think that was possible! lol
As for dropping in a 3.4L... Wouldn't work, you'd need a new transmission, or at least an adaptor plate... The 3.4L was built to replace the 2.8L, they're both 60 degree V6's... The 4 banger is in the class of 90 degree V6... You can most likely bolt a 4.3 to it, easier than you can the 3.4, lol.
Besides, if you're going to but a 3.4 in an S10, drop in the ol' TDOHC!
